This is cancer of the liver that begins with pain in the right side of the body under the ribcage (that is where the liver is). Ascites might occur, ie, fluid might accumulate in your patient’s abdomen, causing swelling. Your patient might also develop jaundice and thus, the skin might take on a yellow-ish colour. There is also an aversion to food, causing progressive weight loss leading to weakness.
